リーシュ コードが出始めの頃で伸び縮みするゴムのようなものに皮で作った犬の首輪状の物を足に巻きスケッグに開けた穴に縛りつけ使用していた頃のボードです。

吉川さんはこの映画が当時ビクター ビデオカメラ（80万円ぐらいした）の販促としてプレゼントされたときのビデオ カセットを持ってきてくれました。未だ映像も鮮明だそうで家に帰ってみるのが楽しみです。お宝です。大事にしていてくれたのですねー。
Surfing Life 上映会 in 名古屋 感動の再会！
Bali Highの武藤さんのご尽力で名古屋での上映会がつるまいプラザで開催されました。先週の新潟に続きここでも150名ほどの方が集まってくれました。今回は武藤さんが昔テッドのディラーだったロッキーこと鈴木さん、等に声かけして頂き感激の対面が出来ました。太東の工場に神田から通っていたとき、店を閉めさあー出発という時突然名古屋から到着され大量に仕入れして下さりそれからのご縁で随分売ってくれました。今でも現役でビッグ ウエーブに乗っているとのこと感動です。伊良湖は全日本のときこの映画にも出てくるグレッグ ハグリン（このとき貸したﾆｺﾉｽのカメラが彼のそれからの映像人生のきっかけになり、サンタﾊﾞｰバラに帰り写真の学校に入り 映画ファンタジーに繋がったのです）オーストラリアからのフッリパー、大野薫、川南 活君など未だ皆高校生か卒業したばかりの連中引きつれ延々とドライブした思い出があります。鈴木さんの奥さんは私達に憧れカリフォルニアに新婚旅行したと話してくれました。みんなの青春の思い出の中にテッドが行き続けてくれていること感激です。
おめでとう リン！！さすがサーフィンの歴史あるアメリカのやる事！！
Hi Family and Friends,
I was recently honored with this Surfing Walk of Fame granite stone
in the sidewalk in front of Jack's Surf Shop in Huntington Beach.
They flew me there to accept the award which was a really nice time!
Réka used her mileage points to come along and be with me there!
It was really interesting to see some old surfing friends from the
first ever professional world surfing tour. Shaun Tomson, Michael
Tomson, Rabbit Bartholomew, Mark Richards, Ian Cairns, Peter Townend;
were all there. They were there for another reason, the world
premier of "Bustin' Down the Door" a movie which chronicles, in
expert fashion, the radical transformation of surfing that took place
during the Hawaii winter of 1975-76. Please click on the link below

The movie opens here in Hawaii on August 1st (this Friday) at the
Dole Cannery Theaters, I believe. I'm probably gonna go see it
